With only days left for the public to vote for their favourite sporting team in the Sport Performer Awards, TeamVodafone are urging fans to recognise their remarkable Bathurst three-peat by going online at http://www.performerawards.com.au/vote.php?intnomineeid=21 and voting for the Brisbane based team.
TeamVodafone and drivers Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup are nominated in the Team Performance of the Year category, earning their nomination from a number of esteemed journalists from The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and the Fairfax radio network following their historic Bathurst victory this year.
The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald in-conjunction with Colonial First State present the Sports Performer Awards which aim to be one of the most prestigious prizes in Australian Sport – recognising the very best performers from the past 12 months.
The Sports Performer Awards are determined by votes from the general public with voting to close at 5.00pm (AEDST) on Friday 21 November, 2008. The winners will be announced at a special function to be held at Crown Casino on Wednesday 26 November, 2008.
